I seek escapism.

It’s hopeless for me.
Worthless I am to even foolishly think that it would work. But I’m no longer welcome in society any longer.

I really like the design I used for Mapleshade in my last PMV, so heres a bit of an updated ref…. I wanted her to look kind of like a fox, because they’re basically like, the boogeymen of the warriors world, huge monsters that steal kits in the night and ambush patrols and take ten cats to take down. instead of covering her in scars, she only carries the one that really matters to her.
It’s bonkers to me that Shadowclan had, at one point, zero medicine cats, while Thunderclan had three- technically four, if you count Cinderheart, and then both briarlight and brightheart still knew enough of medicine to take over if theyre required to so, like. good god. I was so certain that the reason Alderheart was a medicine cat, both narratively and in-universe teh reason Starclan sent the sign in the first place, was that he would join Shadowclan, and probably it would be to save violetkit. I was… genuinely surprised that didn’t happen.
Spottedleaf ref for Cabinet Man! I spent a ton of time on this ref, more than I usually do- trying to stylize a calico for animation was…. a challenge. I wanted her to be recognizable, also, but not generic- also I wanted her to look devious or villainous, but not similar to my Mapleshade design, which is ALSO an evil calico thunderclan gal. I think I did a pretty good job! I’m really happy with this design.
